Play Fast Athletics Focused Training ProgramsSpeed Training![]() Speed training is the heart of all Play Fast Athletics (PFA) training programs. PFA feels if you do not improve your speed then you will not improve your game. Interestingly, most coaches can improve an athletes sport specific skills, however they feel they can not improve their athletes speed. Speed not only helps athletes achieve stardom but it also helps obtain collegiate scholarships. Unfortunately when it comes to recruiting, an athlete that has obtained speed in their game will get picked above another because of the upside potential. Coaches believe they can teach you how to play the game, but they can not make you an athlete. Speed is the measuring stick when evaluating true athletes! The Speed Training program is ongoing every week except major holidays. The speed training times run between the hours of 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays. The minimum requirement for PFA to accept new clients is to sign up for a 6 week workout package which meets 2 days per week. Please call for a price quote. Strength TrainingPlay Fast Athletics provides a strength training program that focuses on improving strength, size as well as speed. We believe teaching proper techniques is the most important aspect of strength training. Focus is dedicated to training techniques because it can prevent injuries both now and in the future. PFA provides a good lifting program that will set athletes up for a nice healthy athletic career. Our goal is to not leave any lingering injuries for them in their adult years. We place our young athletes under the same care, if not better care, than we give our professional athletes. Since young athletes’ bodies are more delicate, they deserve the best in training and services also. The Strength Training program is a continual program. PFA holds strength training classes between the hours of 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and a special Saturday class is offered for those interested. The minimum requirement for PFA to accept new clients is to sign up for an 8 week program which meets 3 days per week. Please call for a price quote. Skill TrainingPlay Fast Athletics is unique in that we are a sports training specialist. This program is offered to enhance the skill of an athlete in their sport. Play Fast has a proven system designed to enhance movement in all sports. It has been noted that our clients maneuver better than other athletes. This can be seen by their proven results, for example, quarterbacks performing movement drills better than wide receivers. Or a power forward being faster than a point guard. Our skill training system is guaranteed to enhance quickness, agility, stopping speed, starting speed and change of direction. This program is generally an addition to the speed training sessions and will include conditioning. The Skill Training program is offered during the summers and upon scheduled times per athlete’s request. They are to coincide with speed training sessions. The minimum requirement for PFA to accept new clients is to sign up for a 6 week program which meets 2 days per week. |
